Epic looking for studio to make Shadow Complex 2

Earlier this year, the creative director at developer Chair Entertainment teased a sequel to the downloadable action game Shadow Complex, saying the sequel was a question of "if," not "when." It also might be a question of "how," as Cliff Bleszinski of Chair parent Epic Games told Gamasutra the company is looking for outside assistance to finish up a sequel.
"Shadow Complex 2 is sitting there, it's actually largely designed, we just need to find a partner that will help us to finish it so we can bring it to market," Bleszinski told the site.
Chair Entertainment had begun work on the sequel but was pulled off the project in order to work on Infinity Blade, Epic Games' first offering on iOS platforms.
"We needed a flagship product for iOS, plain and simple," Bleszinski said of the decision to focus on Infinity Blade. "And we could have ported Shadow Complex, but it would have been a lot of work and it might not have been the right fit. And then Donald Mustard suggested Punch Out!! with swords with RPG layers and we were like, 'Yes!'"
When it launched on Xbox Live Arcade in 2009, Shadow Complex drew comparisons to Nintendo's Super Metroid line of 2D side-scrolling action adventure games. The game melds high-intensity shooting with exploration, as players gain new abilities that open up new areas, where more abilities can be found to unlock more areas, and so on.
