Deus Ex: Human Revolution ships 2 million

Deus Ex: Human Revolution paints a grim picture of a dystopian future, but the present is looking pretty swell for the Square Enix action game. Yesterday, the industry-tracking NPD Group declared it the best-selling game of August at US retail, which was followed up by the publisher today announcing that it has shipped 2 million copies of Deus Ex worldwide.
It has been just over two weeks since the game launched in North America, Europe, and other PAL territories. Still more shipments are in the cards, as Deus Ex is scheduled to debut in Japan next month.
For Human Revolution, developer Eidos Montreal said it wanted to stay true to the spirit of the original Deus Ex, allowing players to choose their own approach to each level. Depending on the augmentations players choose, they can go through each part of the game with a focus on combat, stealth, hacking, or even social interactions.
