Starcraft II -- Pro League: The Grand Finals

Thousands of players tried to qualify for our main event through our open qualification tournaments; of those thousands only thirty-two made the cut. Those thirty-two fought tooth and nail over the last four weeks for the $15,000 that would go to the tournament's winner.

The remaining players all hail from Eastern Europe and we have an amazing final 3!
Grzesiek 'MaNa' Komincz

In one of the best matches of the entire tournament, MaNa performed an incredible upset against IdrA coming back from 0-2 down to defeat the American Zerg. He has surprised time and time again by upsetting some of the biggest names in the game. Now he is just one game away from the Grand finals and the biggest tournament win of his career. After his recent second place at Assembly Summer 2011, can he prove he's capable of adding a gold medal to the trophy case?

Artur 'Nerchio' Bloch

Nerchio deserves a round of applause for his perseverance after being knocked into the loser's bracket in the first round by ClouD. While not the biggest name, Nerchio has proven he is definitely for real with his performances. Nerchio embarrassed both Ret and IdrA in two ZvZs that weren't even close, ousting them both 3-0 relatively easily. However now that his remaining two opponents are Protoss, can he continue his impressive run and sweep the entire tournament through the lower bracket?

Aleksey 'White-ra' Krupnyk

The Beast of the East has been lopping off heads on his way to the final three. No doubt White-Ra is the favorite left in the tournament, but MaNa has surprised at every turn and Nerchio is reaching his crescendo as one of the best players in the world. Showing no blemishes in his game so far, White-Ra is looking to be in top form. Can one of the most accomplished pros in the history of StarCraft win the biggest tournament of his career?

Final Thoughts

White-Ra has to be the favorite as he is the most accomplished and experienced player, but Nerchio has been scary, looking like a younger European JulyZerg. MaNa has also had perhaps his best tournament performance, outclassing players that many pros consider his superiors.

While Nerchio's recent wins have come in ZvZ, he has already ousted defending runner-up KiWiKaKi and Minigun, two very strong Protoss players, which bodes well for him. However, MaNa just defeated the top Zerg of North America and one of the strongest players in the world in IdrA. White-Ra has played nothing but Terran players the entire tournament, and now he will have to deal with two players who have come into their own during this tournament.
