E3 First Look - Nintendo Wii U

So, this handheld is actually the whole system itself.  They made it this way, but said it's not a portable (you wouldn't bring it in the car).  I guess it has 1080p output, able to play any Nintendo Wii game, and does a bunch of other odd little things.

*UPDATE*
So, looking for more news and updates?  Want to see the other half of this Wii U?  I thought you would.  Well, sadly I am going to direct you HERE.  Gamespot actually has a nice article and a lot of graphics and photos.  Shoot over there after scratching your head, saying WTF is this thing???  I think Nintendo just wanted to out do the original XBOX controller in size.  eek!

  2. I'm not a fan of the massive tablet like controller. This will make or break Nintendo. Also, Nintendo really needs to work hard with their 3rd party developers.

I posted an update to Gamespot. I would only buy this if Zelda didn't look like some cartoon piece of shit. I want a realistic looking Zelda.

  4. I did. I got that bitch recorded on my DVR. :D The Nintendo Wii U is crazy. If they don't fuck up with the 3rd party games, they could steal the market.

Did you see the Zelda game they made utilizing the Wii U? Looked amazing.

  5. yep i think third party support is going to work fine devs seem really behind hell bf3 is going to be on the thing and e3 hd zelda demo thing looked awesome but i still want it to have some art style instead of going full ultra realistic(meaning looking like the e3 demo)

  6. Here's the deal about Zelda. We haven't experience Zelda in an ultra realistic way yet. I would love to see Zelda like it was in the E3 demo. It would be amazing.

You asked for art, I think we've seen Zelda in more handfuls of ways than most games.

I don't know about Battlefield 3 and the Wii U. You only have what? 4 buttons on that touch screen. I'm also not sure how well it will play.

I played the Call of Duty on the Wii and it was horrible. I'm happy Nintendo is looking for more 3rd party support, but they also really should have updated their ancient controller of two buttons. I'm not sure how you will even do all you can normally with a regular console controller.

Who knows, maybe it will allow for a mouse and keyboard, that would be epic.

  8. Okay, I wasn't 100% sure what the button config was. It's nice to hear it's like a "normal" controller.

If they [Nintendo] make a Zelda game like what we seen, I will buy the Nintendo Wii U in a heartbeat. I bought the Nintendo 64 only for "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time".

So if Nintendo does it right, they will get my money again. I would love to see a super sexy, sleek and realistic looking Zelda on my 1080p television.

Right now, Microsoft [XBOX 360] currently has my loyalty. I own the Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS and the DSi. So my collection is pretty decent.
