E3 2011: PlayStation Vita Revealed, Gets a Price

Sony's NGP has a name.


Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai took the stage at Sony's E3 2011 press conference today to announce PlayStation Vita, the official name of the handheld.


Vita means "Life" in Latin.




There will be two models of Vita: 

Wi-Fi Model: 24,980 Yen (including tax), $249 and euro 249 

3G/Wi-Fi Model: 29,980 Yen (including tax), $299 and euro 299 

Sony said the Vita will launch "in global market starting the end of 2011."
