Diablo III coming to console

First I'd like to say this.  What the fuck is taking so long?  No game should take 5 or more years.  By the time the game is released their engine is usually dated, or has been updated 20 times.   You would think that Blizzard only has 2 people working there.
I don't care how bug free it is, nothing should take this long, seriously.  And now it's being ported to console.  Here's another 10 years of waiting.  The game doesn't even look that good anymore.  There are things so much better it's not even funny.  But Blizzard has to make a game so every computer since the Apollo space mission can run the fucking thing.
It's 2011 Blizzard, we don't need it so smart phones can play, just make a NICE game, and if people can't play the game, OH FUCKING WELL.   I want to play the game with a quad-core and a super nice Nvidia, not something from 1995.  Time to actually start making the move to a better way of doing things.  I have lost interest in the company because of their lack of production.
Since Diablo III was first announced at BlizzCon 2008, rumors have swirled that it would be ported beyond the PC. Now, developer-publisher Blizzard Entertainment has dropped another strong hint that the game will find its way onto consoles.
According to a job listing for a "PlayStation 3 Specialist" on Blizzard's job portal, the California studio is looking for someone with strong knowledge of Sony's system to be on the Diablo III team.
"Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an enthusiastic senior software engineer to be a key contributor on the Diablo team. This position is responsible for overseeing PlayStation 3 (PS3) architecture design," reads the job listing, "as well as other PS3-specific game code development to maximize platform performance."
As noted earlier, this is not the first time Blizzard has teased console development for Diablo III. Last November the developer posted a job listing for "Lead Designer, Console," which remains live on the site. Additionally, at the time, Blizzard made it very clear it was thinking about bringing Diablo III to consoles.
"We're exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles and are currently looking to fill a few senior console-related positions on the Diablo III team," read a Blizzard statement. "As we've said in the past, with proper care, the gameplay could suit the console platform, and we're interested in seeing what talent out there might be interested in such a project."
Of course, today's new job listing is still far from confirmation that the developer is in fact bringing Diablo III to consoles. Whatever the case, the game is still a ways away, as publisher Activision does not expect Diablo III to ship by the end of the year.

  2. Battlefield will be fine. DICE is one of the few developers that actually do well when they create a game for the PC and console.

They know what their fans want, they listen. It will be epic, I have no doubt in my mind.
